For 2026, the Town of Vienna will be contracting with Pellitteri Waste Systems for our trash and recycling pickups. Both trash and recycling are picked up weekly on Monday mornings.

Please do NOT put batteries -- or any devices containing batteries -- in your trash or recyling containers. They can start fires. Batteries must be taken to a drop-off site. Check your local Clean Sweep location, battery store or visit call2recycle.org.
Please make sure your cart is at the curb by your designated pickup time on your scheduled pickup day or the night before. Pickup times vary from week to week.
Please make sure the lids on your carts are closed to reduce wind-blown litter or material falling out when the cart is being emptied.
Placing your trash in bags before putting it in your cart for normal pickup helps to cut down on wind-blown litter and allows for easier clean-up if carts tip over. For recyclables, use only clear or see-through plastic bags. (Recyclable items placed in black bags will not be recycled. See our website for more details about recycling contamination.)
Be sure to place carts at least 4 feet away from each other and any other obstructions (mailboxes, trees, cars, etc.). Do not place carts in the street. The best placement for carts is on opposite sides at the end of the driveway or on the grass within two feet of the street.
Carts will not be collected if they are improperly placed or overflowing (lid is not shut).
During or after inclement winter weather, please keep your carts accessible by clearing the area of snow and ice to ensure service. Please do not place carts on top of snow piles or in the street. You may need to shovel out areas for your carts just like you do for mail delivery.

The Town has a licensed brush, wood, and garden composting site at: 7122 County Highway I (1/4-mi. south of the Vienna Town Hall).
When dropping off materials, please place in designated piles (grass/leaves, brush and logs).
Hours of Operation
The Vienna site will be open on the First & Third Saturdays of: April thru November (weather permitting) from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Brush site will also be open the Wednesday following the Saturday it was open from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Special Disposal Needs — will be by request and by appointment with the Town Clerk.
The brush site key is also available for pickup during office hours (Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM). They key and sign-out sheet is located in the vesitbule of Town Hall. If you would like to check out the key for more time, please contact the clerk's office.
The entire cost for the collection of trash, garbage, recycling materials, and use of the Vienna Brush and Composting site is $220 per year and is collected on the tax roll by the town as a special charge.
