Welcome to the Town of Vienna!

Town of Vienna was part of the Town of Windsor until 1849. The Town of Vienna was created on March 2, 1849 as 8 & 9 North Range 9 East – 29 days later the area was again divided into the Towns of Dane & Vienna. The name “Town of Vienna” was chosen by early residents and was the name of a Township in eastern New York State…where some early residents originated from.
The first Town meeting was held April 16, 1849 at the home of William Fisher. The first order of business being the election of Town Officials:
Town Chair A.A. Boyce
Supervisor I Benjamin Nesmith
Supervisor II William Fisher
Town Clerk Isaac Mann
Town Treasurer Thomas Lindsay
Town Assessor Jobez Weston

Recently, the town started a Facebook Page to better connect with residents and get information out quicker. On the page, you will find road closings (that we are aware of), election information, and anything that needs to get out to residents quickly. In the future, you'll find pictures of Vienna, and if you have any you'd like to share, send them our way! We'll put them up with a short description and credit for who took the photo.
